Hatch Space presents a selection of soon-to-be painting graduates from Camberwell College of Arts, showing a fresh collection of works prior to their degree show.
This diverse selection of work engages with a wide range of themes derived from the fundamental principles of painting, expanding into sculpture, video and installation art. This exhibition seeks to celebrate the fluidity between media and the creative crossovers that stem from painting. Through engaging with ideas of narrative, memory, materiality and the physicality of making, And You Thought Painting Was Dead offers an original perspective of how the discourse of painting is being interpreted by a new generation of artists.
