Analogue Printing

Both PUNCH artists use printing in their art practices. Dominic Beattie uses a block print method on his canvases and furniture works in order to build layers of colour and pattern. Olivia Bax often uses monoprinting as a way of sketching out ideas. For both artists, printing offers a loose process where imperfection and accident plays an important role.

In the workshop with the artists, participants will be introduced to a few techniques and then given the opportunity to experiment and play. 

These printing techniques do not require chemicals, or even a printing press.
Particpants, please bring: a pad of paper and some pencils.
