We are pleased to announce the second in the series of Arts University Plymouth’s Professorial events and lectures.
Professor Judith Noble will present 'An Occult Avantgarde: Maya Deren and Kenneth Anger – magic, sexuality, gender and transcendence', a talk discussing the occult philosophies that were a central element of the work of Maya Deren and Kenneth Anger, and the ways in which these influenced their filmmaking.
Taking place in person at Plymouth Arts Cinema, at Arts University Plymouth, the talk will also be live streamed for those who cannot attend in person. If you want to attend virtually please select the Live Stream ticket when you book. A small drinks reception will be held for in-person attendees between 6pm - 6:30pm. After the lecture, Plymouth Arts Cinema will be screening 'Performance', a film specially selected by Judith Noble which features a young Mick Jagger.
