In this one day workshop you will follow all the processes to design, carve and print your own Lino block. At the end of the day you will take home your hand made prints and hand carved block that you can continue printing with at home.

About

In this one day workshop, you will learn the skills to get you up and running with Lino printing. You will follow all the processes of making a print. Learn about the tools; the different marks they can make and how to use them safely. Ink up the block and print it onto paper by hand burnishing. Experiment with different paper and inks to produce a print. Enjoy tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits Go home with your newly crafted prints and lino block so you can continue to make more. All materials, including aprons, will be provided. We will be using water-based inks which can stain clothes so please wear something you don’t mind getting inky.
