About
Learn the skills you need to create decorative stitches with textiles designer and founder of Embellished Talk Rebeckah Kemi Apara. Learn how to transfer a design, split the thread, thread a needle and stitch different designs. You'll get to take home your very own embroidered design, and learn all the techniques you need to embellish your life.
All levels are welcome and all equipment will be provided. Fabric will be provided but feel free to bring in an item of clothing to stitch onto if you like.
Embellished Talk is a platform to explore textiles through digital workshops. Founder Rebeckah graduated with a degree in Fashion Textiles at the London College of Fashion and specialises in hand embroidery and embellishments. She’s collaborated with GURLS TALK founded by fashion model Adwoa Aboah. Previous workshops have taken place with Revlon, WAH Nails, Boxpark Shoreditch, Palm Vaults, WeWork, Warehouse, Second Home and Lush. Her workshops have been featured in British Vogue and Time Out.
This event is organised by Yodomo Ltd for The Future of Craft event at The Bargehouse, London as part of London Craft Week 2019.
