Join local artist and educator Russell Squires in this introductory session, learning about the cyanotype printing process!

About

Inspired by our Main Space exhibition 'Everything Comes from the Egg' by Stephen Turner, this workshop will explore the traditional technique of UV/Sun printing, used to create the famous Prussian blue prints.

This hands-on session is suitable for all levels, that have an interest in photographic and printmaking techniques, or anyone that would like to learn a new skill.

From mixing the chemistry to drying the prints, this workshop will guide you step-by-step through the cyanotype process. You will get the chance to make a few cyanotypes on the day and as part of the workshop, you will leave with some unexposed cyanotype paper to take home and create further prints.

All materials will be provided, alongside tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring lunch or purchase from our cafe partners Lily & Lime LD.

Booking

Spaces are £40.00 per person (not including online booking fees). Concessionary tickets of £32.00 are available for students, Aspex Artist Associates and Portsmouth Leisure Card holders.
