About
Ailsa McLellan is a marine scientist and campaigner who looks at the ways in which humans affect sea life. In 2018 she campaigned tirelessly to stop proposals for Kelp dredging in Scotland. She works with fishermen, fish/shellfish farmers, policy makers and marine conservation groups to highlight environmental issues in what is an increasingly fragile marine ecosystem. Ailsa is based near Ullapool in Northern Scotland.
Part of Julia Emily Parks "Seaweed Stories", a project supported by Arts Council England.
