Journey with us to India — by way of DUMBO — on Saturday May 20th when we’ll be seeing the stage musical adaptation of Mira Nair’s acclaimed 2001 film, Monsoon Wedding at St’ Anne’s Warehouse, plus an Indian dinner before the show.

“Two families converge on Delhi for an arranged marriage and what promises to be a glorious union. As festivities unfurl in song and dance, expectations and reality collide. The groom drifts between searching and belonging, and the bride’s past threatens to destroy her future. Chaos ensues, and as the nuptials draw closer, so do the maid and the wedding planner. Together they find love among the marigolds.
Nair’s celebration rings joyful and cathartic: as a love song to her home city of Delhi and to her own Punjabi family. At its core, it’s a story of families: how they love, rejoice, and endure together. With Jason Ardizzone-West’s beautiful thrust stage, guests will be ushered into the celebration with a clear view of the nuptials of the year.”
Beforehand, we’ll start our journey with delicious Indian food at Mint Heights in Brooklyn Heights before the 7:30pm show in DUMBO.
All tickets include a seat with the group at St. Anne’s. Full experience tickets also include 1 dinner entree + shared appetizers before the show. All drinks and additional food will need to be ordered separately and paid at the restaurant.
