An Hourglass on the Run

From an ancient mosque by a bullring in Southern Spain Matilda Bevan recorded in sequential snapshots the 360 degree panorama of the surrounding valley, and from these she has developed more thought-through painted and drawn imagery. Bevan likes to be surprised by details that emerge in the most rapid or casually taken photograph, so that by slow study and interpretation of these, she is distancing herself from the speed of the shutter.
