About
This first edition in the "Amplify" series will feature 4 queer Berlin based performers and activists who are fairly compensated for their work through DISTANZEN Solo/Dachverband Tanz, while all proceeds from ticket sales at donated to Afghan LGBT.
In the wake of an outpouring of care and resources towards Ukrainian refugees, we must once again reflect about which humans are deemed worthy of our attention and support.
Afghan citizens, specifically Afghan queer citizens, have been living in dire circumstances since August 2021, and are facing starvation, violence, and abhorrent living conditions.
As queer artists, it is our responsibility to use the privilege of our resources to stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ community who are at risk.
We hope you will join us with the support of Hosek Contemporary to support our queer Afghan community, as well as our queer Berlin artists.
