Alter-pieces brings together four artists working between objects and pictures.
The home is turned in on itself, becoming the stuff of ritual, myth and escapism. Each artist has built a body of work through which head space and lived space are made present.

About

The traditional altarpiece is often on the cusp of object-artwork. In this exhibition, artists Bobbye Fermie, Lottie Stoddart, Thomas Treherne and Naomi Trevor raise alternatives. Alter-pieces, conversing between the second and third dimensions, the personal and the public, the sacred and profane, the comic and sincere, represents the individual concerns of the artists and their conceptions of ritual.
