Artist John Blythe explores new ways of re-imagining his visual surroundings and making the familiar strange.
About
This workshop offers visitors the opportunity to engage with and subvert traditional photographic representations of landscape into something ‘other’. Using old postcards, forgotten holiday brochures and discarded colour slides, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of collaging processes to transform these ‘old’ representations of place into something new and spectacular. Let your imagination run free, play and make through a range of processes, use old school slide projectors, your mobile phone camera and high quality digital printers to break down and build the world anew.
Take away a print of your new ‘scape’ and share your creativity online with the hashtag #alternativescapes.
Customers will need a mobile phone with a camera and may need to download and install a free app in order to print.
