About
Peca creates dreamlike and mystical worlds populated by anthropomorphic creatures and mystical beings. Her art is often inspired by her own dreams, visions, and meditations, which she translates into vivid visual narratives filled with universal symbols. Her childhood in Argentina was marked by the brutality of the military dictatorship, from which she found refuge in music and painting. After studying fine arts in Buenos Aires, Peca moved to Barcelona in 2001, where she now lives and works. To take us along on her visual journey, which begins in the otherworldly and continues with the invocation of countless fantastical creatures, Peca employs a diverse range of media (including oils, acrylics, and pencils).
The artist’s creations are a door to a dreamy and mystery universe, that you have visited before, perhaps in dreams, or astral travel. With several international solo and group shows at world-renowned galleries under her belt, along with the confidence that comes with believing art can bring you another life, Peca invites us to a magical world where fantasy repose on fields of strawberries.
