regroup Collective presents ‘All the Frequent Troubles of our Days’, curated by Rita Silveira Machado.

About

Selected from an open member submission, twelve artists consider recurrent themes, as pertinent today as, perhaps, they have always been. The curator comments that

'the idea was to find a common thread that could link such different artists and mediums. But more than it being thematic or visual, a connection of shared problems and concerns started to form, a somewhat uneasy way of looking at the current world.

The exhibition tries to map these concerns with the use of themes such as portraiture or landscape which are starting points for conversations around shared issues of identity, memory, and our relationship with nature. In many ways, this is a very conventional exhibition because the artist's worries are so human and universal, one that shows how the troubles of our days connect us and how we can share these strange moments of disquiet.'
