An exhibition by Kate Green BA(Hons) HS; RMS;SBA(Fellow)
About
Kate had a relatively late start as an artist. Always creative, once children had flown
the nest she returned to studying and achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Art History & Philosophy of the Arts. The wealth & diversity of art she encountered inspired her to embark on her own journey!
Kate’s main inspiration is her mature garden, rich with flora and fauna. A quiet stroll always reveals some treasure to paint. It is a love of intricate detail which drew her to botanical art and ultimately to the magical jewel-like world of miniature painting.
Working exclusively in watercolour , Kate strives for depth, strength & drama – a heightened realism.
She is a Fellow of The Society of Botanical Artists, exhibiting in London’s Mall Galleries.
Kate is a longstanding member of The Hilliard Society of Miniaturists.
She is also a Member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculpters & Gravers.
Kate is an award-winning artist who is listed in “Who's Who in Art."
In addition to selling her work internationally, she has had many successful solo shows. Her paintings hang in local galleries and are collected locally & worldwide.
