A collection of etchings of fascinating architecture from the artist's travels
About
Alison Neville has an abiding passion for particular and wonderful architectural gems. Taken from drawings made directly on site during her journeys, her etchings retain the magic of first glimpsed places. Her distinguishing style gives each of these buildings great character, with intricate details and skilful representation of their features.
Travelling and drawing go hand in hand for Alison and so this exhibition of etchings spanning over thirty years, includes the resulting prints from many of the numerous travels she has made, including locations such as New York, Venice, Samarkand, Lahore and many more.
Alison Neville was born in Zimbabwe in 1945. She moved to England in 1962 to study Fine Art at Gloucestershire College of Art and Portsmouth University. She has a BA in Fine Art, and a postgraduate teaching qualification from London University. From 1974 to 1976 she studied printmaking at Boston University. She has work in many private and public collections across the world.
Alison Neville's work will be exhibited in the upper gallery.
