Alik Cavaliere. The green universe

From 27 June to 9 September 2018 Palazzo Reale hosts the Alik Cavaliere exhibition. The green universe, an important anthology that reconstructs the artist's journey, focusing on the theme of nature, in the twenty years of his death.
 

The exhibition has its heart in the prestigious Sala delle Cariatidi at the Palazzo Reale, and then extends to five other venues in a wide and varied itinerary involving the city of Milan: the Museo del Novecento, Palazzo Litta, Gallerie d'Italia, Bocconi University and the Alik Cavaliere Art Center. Artist among the greatest of Italian sculpture of the late twentieth century, in his research the artist has faced many subjects, as we observe in the various venues of the exhibition, but the theme of nature, in its aspects of luxuriance and suffering, expansion and constraint, is the center of all his work. The exhibition also focuses on a recurring theme in the artist's poetics, the cage, as a symbol of the limits and constraints that loom over man.
