HINTERLANDGALLERY presents ALIENNATION – VISIONS OF SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY – a group exhibition that offers an alternative vision of science fiction and fantasy that will fascinate art lovers and admirers of this genre.
About
Brought together are several artists exploring themes such as futuristic idealism, dystopian environments, mystical creatures, outer world aesthetics and concepts developed in film and comic book narratives.
Special acknowledgement should be made to Mike Trim who takes part in this show. Mike began his successful career as a concept artist of the 1960s series of by Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds and also famously illustrated the album cover of the musical version of War of the World’s produced by Jeff Wayne in 1978. His amazing contribution towards sci-fi art has inspired generations of fans and HINTERLANDGALLERY is proud to present Mike’s work.
ALIENNATION will coincide with the Folkestone Film, TV and Comic Con 2016 that will take place on Saturday, 7 May 2016 at Folkestone Academy.
ALIENNATION will be showing throughout May 2016 and is a 20/20 presentation.
