The show gathers three recent series of work of different nature. A group of textile works, looms weaving words; pictures that feature in file card format photographs of sculptures, and sculptural objects scattered in the showroom constitute this project.
Each group approaches in its own and individual way the problematic that resides between the object and its image. The different points of view and approaches aims to elaborate on the ontological gap between the two modes of existence of things, i.e, between the execution and the image. A gap which in turn is an excess typical to the artistic object and may only be adressed by it. An approach to this double quality, the dual existence which is that of the object as execution and image. Zuhar Iruretagoiena lives and Works in Bilbao. She holds a PHD in Fine Arts from the University of País Vasco (U.P.V./ E.H.U.) and a MA in digital arts from the University of Pompeu Fabra.
