About
After 38 years, the cartoon strip in the Business section of the Daily Telegraph is no more, and will no longer chronicle the greed and excesses of London City life through the social and financial career of Alex, materialistic banker trader, snob, socialite, luncher and sometime MP.
The duo of Russell Taylor and Charles Peattie, over nearly four decades, have created this witty insiders guide to the Mammon lifestyle revealing with excruciating parody the inner workings of Boom and Bust, Big Bang and Credit Crunch. Latterly, Alex’s boutique bank gave us hilarious insights into HR’s obsessive regulatory conspiracies and the world of woke.
