20-21 Visual Arts Centre are delighted to welcome back artist Alexis Rago, who will be giving a free presentation and short tour of his National Centre for Craft and Design touring exhibition Chaos Contained.
Influenced by science, evolution and anthropology, Rago's stunning works are elaborate constructions that push the technical boundaries of ceramics in breathtakingly delicate detail. Chaos Contained is a multi-sensory experience presenting large-scale ceramics alongside pin-hole photography, digital sound and projected imagery.
The talk coincides with the opening of a new installation created especially for the gallery bell-tower, which includes sound recordings made in the clock-room of the St. John's Church tower.
