Join us for the opening of Alexandra Parry's exhibition project, Unruly Objects, on Thursday 22nd January, 6-9pm. Part social experiment, part nomadic classroom, part physics, Alex's project has seen participants walking with and carrying unfamiliar objects in various environments, forming group structures to navigate and manage the interactions between people and objects.
The walks have been filmed with cameras strapped to the objects, capturing conversations and responses, streets and hedgerows, and will be presented in the gallery from Friday 23rd January to Friday 13th February, Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm.
DRAWING SESSION: Monday 26th January, 10am-12noon. An invitation to undertake an unprescribed drawing exercise in the gallery using the exhibition as source material. Bring your own materials, and/or the campus Art Shop will be open for materials to be purchased.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Alexandra Parry in conversation with Katie Pratt: Thursday 12th February, 5 - 7pm (arrive 4.30pm for a cuppa)
