About
Alexandra has been working on the pieces in this exhibition since 2016. It started out as a series called birds with birds about the female narrative in western society, but has developed into something else and taken on its own journey - hence the new name - Trascendence.
She uses a lot of symbology in her artwork, from different cultures, art history, religions, dreams etc. Alexandra sometimes refer to her work as little thought bubbles from the space behind her mind - they work with the surrealist ideology and are very subconscious. “They just kinda happen”.
