This exhibition places the work of Aleksandra Mir and Robert Orchardson into close proximity as an organised spatial poetic and meeting point between clearly distinct practices. In pursuit of different ends, Mir and Orchardson's works act in different ways, originate from separate sources and present contrasting visions of the world. Shifting from suspended sculptural forms to video documentary, the points of gravity between the two artist's works are rhythm and repetition generated through an architectural, social or bodily expression. The confluence of works in International Project Space is seen as akin to the encounters between individuals found in both artists' works as complex and discursive maps of being.
