Alan Ball joins us for a showcase exhibition of larger scale ceramics, alongside memorabilia and archive pieces from his career of 60 years.

About

Born in 1935, Alan Ball trained and worked as a design engineer for many years. He began making pots in 1965. A founder member of Northern Potters, Alan had a studio and worked and taught as a full time self-employed potter at Washington Arts Centre for 20 years. He now works from his home studio making smoke decorated sculpture and one-off pots and bowls.

Alan will be with us on Saturday 9 August for a Q&A event and screening of a short film about his process and career.
