We are very proud to announce that A-Head the Italian mental health charity project developed by Angelo Azzurro is coming to London in February 2018 with a three day programme of exciting events.

About

The Charity founded in Rome by Doctors Stefania Calapai and Antonella Lo Giudice has been delivering rehabilitation projects in collaboration with artists, designers and performers since 2009. There will be (1) an art exhibition featuring works by artists and patients,(2) an exclusive charity dinner catered by Danilo Cortellini (MasterChef the Professionals 2015 finalist and the head chef for the Italian Embassy in London), and (3) a club night with 3 great DJs. 

A-Head presents 'New Road'  an exhibition curated by Ludovica Palmieri at No 20 Arts.  New Road is the most recent exhibition produced by the A-Head artists  Giovanni Calemma,  Barbara Salvucci and Luca Guatelli; and supported by the charity Angelo Azzurro. 

The exhibition has three sections: 'The Main', dedicated to the artworks of artists Calemma, Salvucci and Guatelli.

The second section, 'A New Perspective', a selection of works from Angelo Azzurro’s patients in collaboration with the artists. The outcome from the art and photography workshops developed and promoted by the charity. 

A third section, 'London Calling', consisting of artworks and publications donated to the raffle by photographer Antonio Pagano, Illustrator artist Katia Fiorentino, fashion designer Gabriella Bolero and Morel Books Publishing. On the night, there will be a short live set by Italian producer Carlo Alberto Mezzavilla.

There will also be a raffle with the chance to win original artworks limited edition publications,or an exclusive haute couture garment. All the proceeds from the raffle, dinner,club night and any other generous donations will go towards funding the charity’s new projects. From 10 pm on Friday 16th February ,A-Head will run a club night in a central London venue. The line-up includes Italian DJ and producer Marco Moreggia (a key figure Italian night life since the '80s) DJ and producer Flavia Lazzarini (one of the most acclaimed female DJs in Italy); and DJ Alex McKenzie, a London regular on the house music scene. The proceeds of this night will go entirely to charity.

Finally on Saturday, February 17th , Refettorio Felix in West London will host an exclusive charity dinner by special guest chef,Danilo Cortellini. Organised by Olivia Sibony from Grub Club,this will be a fantastic occasion to taste unique and exquisite Italian food. A-Head London has been made possible by the invaluable
