On this two-day study course you will examine representations of African world building in speculative writing, from the 1950’s to present day.

About

Join Dr Louisa Uchum Egbunike, to explore the literary worlds of 20th-century African writing. Explore the use of African cosmologies, the influence of orature, and the intersections of spiritual and physical realms in these literary worlds, as well as the cultural contexts of when they were dreamed up.

Whether you study the genre, or are simply looking for brilliant additions to your reading list, this course will give you insights into developments in African literature and an awareness of the broader African literary ecosystem.
