'Nostril Thinking: Experimental Animation selected by Orla Mc Hardy' is an upcoming special cinema event, Q&A and new zine. The event expands and defies interpretations of what is traditionally understood as animation

The screening will feature works by eight international artists, including Turner Prize winning artist Elizabeth Price, legendary artist Robert Breer whose works span 50 years, ethnographic media maker muthi reed, and Suzan Pitt - maker of surreal and psychological feminist films.
Spanning works from 1956 to 2022, the event explores animation as a model of care and containment, and pays close attention to time, to a feeling, to a question, to a body.
The event is co-curated with artist Orla Mc Hardy for aemi. Orla McHardy is an Irish artist and educator, examining where value is placed (and not placed) on the hidden time of care, love and labour .
