Make a hoodening horse!

About

Hoodening is a British tradition related to Mumming and the Morris dance, dating back at least to the mid-18th century. Hoodening horses have a wooden horse's head mounted on a pole, with a sackcloth attached to hide the bearer. The head would normally have a hinged jaw which could snap shut with a mighty crack. Make your own hoodening horse to be displayed in a stable or ridden that evening at our club night Night folk: Embrace the dark! You are welcome to take your horse home after the event. This event is aimed at adults and will be run by artist Jeni Townsend.
