Adrien Vescovi has been living and working in Marseille since 2017 after a long period working in the Haute-Savoie mountains. The artist reinvests with contemporary considerations the question of the free canvas and of a painting designed on an architectural or natural scale. For him, the context in which he installs his works is an essential research issue. Adrien composes temporalities, assembles colors shaped by air (sun and moon rays, snow, pollution), earth (ochres and plants) and fire (cooking). His way of sewing is a way of painting. Chance is his ally.
He presents at the Studio Fotokino pieces that he created originally for the exhibition “La Mesure du Monde” at the RMCA of Sérignan in 2019. Placed on the ground, recomposed our space, they will be presented to visitors as a playground to be walked through (in socks), on which the light of the space will reveal shapes and colors. This installation will be accompanied by an original publication produced for the occasion.
