ADRIAN PRITCHARD / THE OSMOSIS MACHINE

About

Supercollider is pleased to announce Adrian Pritchard 's 'The Osmosis Machine' as the next exhibition in the 2012 programme. The exhibition is the next in Supercollider's ongoing Semiconductor Series and the first project to be held in the new space at 59 Cookson Street. 'The Osmosis Machine' is a development of Pritchard's installation 'Unstable States' presented during the Blackpool Culture Shops Project during 2010/11. This showing will mark the first public presentation of work. Harnessing the scientific process of osmosis, Pritchard's machine breaks down the barrier between process and presentation allowing the viewer to engage in the ever changing qualities of the work as it unfolds. Adrian Pritchard's project 'The Osmosis Machine' is a Cornerhouse Micro Commision supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Following the presentation at Supercollider the work will be on display at The Royal Exchange Theatre as part of the Manchester Science Festival 2012.
