Adi Gunawan's Virtual Exhibition II (Willingdon Beauty)
There is an incoincidental intersection between Animal Farm by the famed George Orwell (1903-1950) and the decades of Adi Gunawan's sculptures, not unlike the direct reference of Willingdon Beauty.

About

Adi Gunawan is an Indonesian artist well known for his highly distinctive sculptures. He was born in Yogyakarta in 1974, with much experience through years of experiments rooting from his education at Institut Seni Indonesia. Through his works, Adi frequently expresses his art with symbols such as women and animals. Adi pushes his idea on the contrary to media perception of thin, slim, fine-haired women as the definition of beauty. He often mixes the symbols of women along with the symbols of animals, which comes from his childhood memories. Adi then transformed the ideas into enjoyable forms of pigs, dogs, cats, horses and many others
