About
Visual Artist Joe Simpson’s exhibition, ACT is a series of paintings depicting British actors in a fictional scene and features Olivia Colman, Paddy Considine, Charlie Cox, Warwick Davis, Mark Gatiss, Matt Lucas, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, John Simm and Eleanor Tomlinson. A mammoth independent project started over eight years ago – the exhibition finally makes its London debut at 59 Great Portland Street on 13th – 28th August 22.
The project sees Simpson ask some of his favourite actors ‘what role have you always wanted to play but have never got the chance?’ with their choices revealing new insights into their motivations, dreams and passions.
Spread over three galleries the exhibition shows 20 paintings with behind-the-scenes concept art and films. Admission Free.
