Learn how to make creative marks using a variety of tools, using AER (acrylic etching resists) on aluminium and copper plates.
ARE (acrylic resist etching) techniques that are easy and safe to use both in the workshop and in your own studios. This summer etching course will be an expansive approach to etching allowing you to continue to develop and work plates between sessions. They are suitable for all levels of ability from beginners to established printmakers with no prior knowledge of etching required. All materials are included except extra for zinc and copper plates.
Acrylic Resist Etching pt. 2 – Textures and stencils
Wednesday 14th August, 1pm to 4pm
Learn how to use AER (acrylic etching resists) as a soft ground and stencils to produce varied and interesting results to your aluminium and copper plates
