A contemporary art exhibition in a unique and charming location at the heart of Putney high street, paying tribute to the environmentally friendly nature of the venue, the exhibition explores how we can affect memories, and how memories can equally be affected by us.
About
A memory is not simply an image produced by time traveling back to the original event — it can be an image that is somewhat distorted because of the prior times you remembered it,”—Donna Bridge, Journal of Neuroscience
To see is to collect, congregate. We each have a unique memory bank of images that is irreplaceable, that consists of the happenings and events that we choose to participate, so in part, we choose what we bank everyday. As artists we not only bank our images, but we purposefully take them out, reuse them, draw them, and in turn, altering our memories.
Abstract Realities is a contemporary art show consists of five young artists with different nationalities, working across diverse mediums, with their art, they decompose, digest and rebuild their surroundings like worms in the soil.
