There is growing interest in the work of artist Marilyn Kyle, who will be showing at St Mary-at-the-Quay, Ipswich, in August.

About

Though delicate and, at first glance, pretty, her work has been variously described as "chilling and very powerful" and "dark but massively intriguing". A show not to be missed. This installation, by Marilyn Kyle, will offer the visitor a haunting experience within the setting of St Mary-at-the-Quay church in Ipswich. Previously shown in Ireland, the work provoked a sense of reverence — people fell silent as they made a ‘pilgrimage' around the central piece. As a printmaker, who extends her work into other media, Marilyn Kyle works with themes which are, at the same time, both profound and commonplace: part of all human experience.
