Paul creates brooding, emotive and evocative semi abstract landscape paintings of his beloved moors. Simple compositions of land and sky bereft of figurative details except for the hint of a horizon or a brow of a hill where a limited colour palette of mainly, burnt umber, ochre's and white with the odd splash of crimson or hint of blue capture the rugged beauty of the land and the movement of the sky. Anyone with a love of the moors should take the time to visit this exhibition. Paul is a talented artist who has somehow managed to capture 'a spirit' of the place."
