Set against the backdrop of The City, the oldest financial centre in the world, our first walking tour of the year highlights stories of Jewish Firsts. Not only synagogues but also a Lord Mayor, a Prime Minister, a Baronet and an MP, who helped to brake down the barriers of discrimination in Victorian England. Their stories bring to life the growth of the Jewish Community alongside the development of the financial institutions of the Square Mile.
