Artist Sylwia Suma creates a Storm in a Teacup

About

The human body is the inspiration for a new exhibition at the Globe Centre. Sylwia Suma is exhibiting over twenty-four studies of people in the centre's Tom Halford Gallery from March 1 until March 30. Called Storm in a Teacup, the exhibition features a collection of paintings based around her home and social life, from where Suma has captured for closer examination the stories and the defining moments of people's lives. And in keeping with the theme of portraying people surrounding her life, during the course of the exhibition visitors may well be invited to take part in a sitting and become the subject of her work. They will then find their portraits displayed alongside other works, throughout the remainder of the exhibition.
