About
This exhibition is the culmination of a multi-year photographic project exploring the heritage of US astronaut training in Iceland. In his first solo UK exhibition Matthew will be showing artworks which have been inspired by this project and the landscape of Iceland.
Matthew was raised in North Devon and after studying at Petroc went on to graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Photography from the University of Brighton. He is about to complete his MA in Photography at the University of the West of England, based in Bristol. Whilst still a young practitioner, Matthew has already been widely published and shortlisted for a number of awards and was the winner of the inaugural Photoworks Prize, the Magnum Photos Graduate Photographer prize and the De Donkere Kamer #31 prize.
This exhibition has kindly been sponsored by Rainsford & James: fine art framers and Spectrum: fine art photographic and giclée printers.
