Join apexart for our first hybrid in-person/online performance event for the exhibition Dance Trans* Revolution.
A Skip of the Beat A Change of the Heart is a lecture-dance performance by Will Fredo and LoMaasBello that connects stories of Afro dances with sexual, social, political, gender, and metaphysical liberation, inspired by the cultures of the Maroons in the Americas.
This event is a part of Dance Trans* Revolution, on view at apexart from November 6 - December 23. Dance Trans* Revolution, curated by After Party Collective (Vidisha-Fadescha and Shaunak Mahbubani), invites trans, intersex, and non-binary artists with heritages from the global South who are immersed in the exploration of affirmative spaces, to create and critique the party as a political act.
