Matthew Jarron, Curator of Museum Services, University of Dundee. The great Scottish biologist D'Arcy Thompson (1860-1948) has had a profound influence on both art and science, his devotees including some of the most important artists, architects and thinkers of the 20th century. His extraordinary book On Growth & Form continues to inspire today, and in this talk Matthew Jarron (Curator of the University of Dundee Museum Collections) will discuss D'Arcy's life and work and his on-going influence in visual art, with specific reference to some of the artists included in this exhibition.
