Join us for 'The problem is the problem, the person is not the problem', the second in a series of workshops led by performers and artists with the Rhubaba choir. This singing workshop is led by Kathryn Elkin, an artist who works with performance, writing and video.

About

'The problem is the problem, the person is not the problem', will involve guided visualisation exercises that mine and abuse some of the logics of Narrative Therapy. This group exercise will then be developed into a singular narrative script to be set to music, making use of the assembly of voices by way of rounds, basic harmonics and perhaps even some extended vocal techniques. The hope is that we come up with a musical theme for a ‘person’ together, however strange and ramshackle.

All voices are welcome for this workshop. It doesn't matter at all if you've never sung in choir before, and all workshops are open to regular Rhubaba choir goers, new members and anyone who fancies giving it try just once. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

To take part in this workshop, please email rhubabachoir@gmail.com to book.

If you have an access enquiry or need any extra support to attend this workshop please email rhubabachoir@gmail.com so we can know how best to support you.
