‘‘A Sight Of’ consists of; ​ Anna Clegg ​Evangelia Dimitrakopoulou Kendall Glover Rob O’Leary Rafael Perez Evans Azul Van Perbogh Rafał Zajko “The eerie concerns the most fundamental metaphysical questions one could pose, questions to do with existence and nonexistence: Why is there something here when there should be nothing? Why is there nothing here when there should be something?” ​(​The Weird and the Eerie​ - Mark Fisher) Drawing on lingering moments in time, ​A Sight Of b​ rings together seven artists that have their works grounded in elemental concepts of memory, fiction, ecology and utility. The works have an anthropological quality that unites these disparate elements, providing a glimpse into the hauntings of agency within the everyday. ​A Sight Of​ seeks to give an insight into materials, methods and processes that have continually been pushed during the 2020 Covid-19 period. Agency is a heavy value within the show. The work comes together by looking at moments in time that present political and social paradoxes questioning what entity has woven these contingents. Re-presenting these moments, taking snippets through practices of active observation. The works look at turning the familiar into the strange or indeed, the strange into the familiar, seeking to give access to the forces that govern that are ordinarily obscured.
