About
A Show is an exhibition featuring work by self-taught artists. Most of the artists haven’t exhibited their work before and have never had access to a studio space in which to work. A Show provides a platform for artists whose works of art may not otherwise have been displayed in a gallery setting.
The exhibition explores and celebrates the ways that creativity manifests outside of institutional structures. The works are diverse in style and form but underlying all of them is a sense of creative urgency. The artists employ their techniques, processes and mediums to weave narratives, convey memories and make sense of the world around them.
This is A Show's first exhibition featuring 12 wonderful artists who will be exhibiting paintings, prints, zines, collages, poetry, video pieces, and a soundscape.
