An exhibition featuring sculpture, sound, textiles and pigeons, ‘A Sense of Place’ sees new works by eight northern artists, exploring ideas around connection, place and home.
About
The exhibition is the final celebration for the Northern Expressions project – an artist development programme to develop northern talent for those without formal arts education, living in Yorkshire and Humber region.
The work by exhibiting artists Donna Mindart, David Kenney, Alice Kin, Miriam Hemingway, Estar May, Mouse, Jenny Sutton, and Graham Williamson is guaranteed to brighten up the gloomiest of winter days.

About Northern Expressions
Coordinated by Scarborough Museums and Crescent Arts, the Northern Expressions programme was created to bring together emerging artists to support them in their practice through research visits, one-to-one supported sessions, studio space to create work, financial aid, and workshops.
The programme is part of a wider project, Connecting Coastal Cultures (CCC), an Arts Council England funded project delivered by Scarborough Museums and Galleries in partnership with Crescent Arts to raise the profile of art in the north of England, and provide opportunities for artists from the area to exhibit in regional venues.
