A one-off film screening of A Life Lived, a documentary on Philip Guston.

About

A Life Lived looks back over Guston's career, which originated in social realism during the '30s, moved to the center of Abstract Expressionism, and culminated in a return to figuration. The artist speaks candidly about his philosophy of painting and the psychological motivation for his work. This screening is part of the Jerwood Painting Fellowships 2013 talks and events series. All events are free but must be booked in advance. For more information or to book a place, please contact Jerwood Visual Arts.
