About
'A place in the country' / 'Et sted pa landet' brings together six artists from Denmark whose work connects with rurality and life at the margins. Some live and work in West and North Jutland. Dominated by sea and sky, this remote wind-swept region on Denmark's western coast is a land of sand dunes and birds, low buildings and wind farms.Work by Jette Ellgaard, Karen Havskov Jensen, Marianne Jørgensen, Hartmut Stockter, Klavs Weiss and Thomas Wolsing who skilfully balance power and delicacy, humour and longing, providing both a sense of place and insight into the myths, ideals and realities of the Danish countryside.
