A PIECE OF HEAVEN
Even in her early works, the cloud as a manifesto of the ephemeral was a recurring motif that the artist and philosophy graduate Petra von Kazinyan filled with emotion.
Liquid modernity, as Zygmunt Bauman once so aptly described it, has become nebulous. Everything once flowed - now everything seems to be in a cloudy state of dissolution. Dematerialization, nothing seems tangible anymore.
Created in the last few months, von Kazinyan’s Cloud Paintings reflect inner and outer landscapes and, as enigmatic, poetic puzzle paintings, also refer to a future that is currently being rewritten.
