A Nod to Cage

The Pavilion presents a programme of artists' projects that respond to Cage's work. The aim is to solicit contemporary and instinctual responses to Cage from a range of artists that reflect the anarchic impulses that underpinned his approach to the world and making art. Students for Cage Championing the brightest talent from the University of Brighton and Sussex Coast College, the Pavilion has selected six arts and music students to respond to the work and ideas of John Cage. They are : Steve Thompson, Lucy Phillips, Hugh Fox, Joseph Long, Daisy Grove Lafarge and Sophie Fishel.
